Reading this thread (http://rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=85448)
reminded me of my first interchangeable RF camera.
One day at the flea market I stumbled upon a filthy Zorki-4
with Jupiter-8 packed in a brown 'ever-ready' leather case.
The seller showed me that the "system" works well and
wanted 150NIS for it.
After some bargaining we settled on 120NIS ($32) and I
got the camera.

When I came home I saw that the camera is not in "tip-top"
shape and the shutter kept on getting stuck, so I disassembled
it and gave it a DIY CLA.
Eventually, I had a good working camera with a nice lens
that gave me very nice pictures. (example 1, example 2, example 3, example 4)

Returning to the M9+Nocti for $18,495.00 - a short calculation
reveals that I can buy about 578 cameras as my old zorki.

How many 50mm-RF of your cheapest systems can you buy with the cost of M9+Nocti?

I paid for my Zorki 4 + Jupiter 8 lens (both nice conditions) about 25$, quality is quite nice, but when I take my M6 after Zorki - I can feel the difference (not that this difference equals the difference in price though)... My M6+35mm cron V4 buys about 100 Zorki's

- DOZENS!.....but what would be the point? 🙄

Similar question....how many nonsense threads can be submitted to RFF in one day?

😀
Well, it depends on the weather and how it reflects the mood of the OP's.

And a little more serious: spending over 18K$ on an RF system looks nuts to me, and so is purchasing over 500 cameras.
But if I had to choose between both option, I would have chosen the latter.
500 cameras can benefit more than one (and I'm thinking in charity manners).

Wait - don't say that. I'm on the verge of buying a ticket to TA, because of the weather here. I'll just tell myself your standards are a lot higher than mine.

Calm yourself and don't hesitate with this ticket 🙂
the weather is great.
Yesterday was a bit awkward (26^C and dusty rain), but in general it is much better than in most of Europe.
