I have a pair of EP2's, zoom kit and 17/2.8 kit. Bought one on Amazon, and picked up the second one in a trade.

I found the Nikkor 5cm f1.4 is a good lens for the EP2. Focus to 18", small and well balanced. I am having fun using my manual focus lenses on the EP2, yesterday put a Nikkor-H 300/4.5 on it.

The Electronic viewfinder is amazing.
 
The loss of a darkroom led to selling the best camera I've ever had...Mamiya 7II with 50, 80, 150mm.

I hope the GF1 w/20mm will be a good substitute for my dearly departed Fuji AF645 w/60mm.
Plan to get an adapter so I can use Nikon 35mm f1.4 and 50mm 1.8 on it.
The 14-24 2.8 Nikon lacks an aperture ring but it would be quite a sight!

I was going to sell my E-PL1 kit but decided against it. E-PL1 and 20/1.7 kit is my only digital camera other than iPhone 4 (actually pretty good camera), and it's so handy to have it around. VF-2 was great, but I couldn't justify the size and price.

I tried to use OM and Leica lenses with E-PL1, but I was't really impressed by the whole setup due to huge 2x crop factor. I think it's meant to be used with micro4/3 lenses (or cine lenses?) other than a few just-for-fun occasions.
 
I just got E-P1and I'am using RF lenses (Hexar RF, Leica M4-2, Fed NKVD, Zorki 4), plus Nikon F gear. I have even attached a Nikkor 8 mm,and focus is almost perfect.

I think the E-P1 is a good companion to share Rf and nikon lenses.

Sorry for the late reply.

I use my own preset in Lightroom. The built-in art filter loses too much details for my taste. To much contrast.

G1 purchased used as a trial. It turns out I like it but realized that the E-PL1 fit me better. Often shares the same bag as my rangefinder. 14-42 + 9-18 + m-mount>m43 adapter takes so little room. I probably should sell the G1 soon... heck.. probably should sell my DSLR as well..

I use it for "happy snaps"
I bought a Novoflex Leica M adapter, and haven't used it yet.

It shoots very differently than my Leica - autofocus, point and shoot....

Thinking I'm going to sell that Novoflex (well, until my M8 developed its latest fault).

Purchasing an EP1 led me on a path away from DSLRs. I bought it just after it came out, as a travel camera. I borrowed a couple of M mount Voigtlander lenses and soon after sold all my Canon gear to buy an M8 and a few great pieces of Leica glass. Lately I have been shooting more film than digital, first with an M3 and now with an M6ttl. I've veered even farther from the DSLR world with the recent purchase of a circa 1934 Zeiss Super Ikonmat. I still use the EP1 with the Panasonic 20/1.7 as my P&S and the M8 will be the camera that goes with me on a 3 week road trip, but most of my shooting time is spent with my 2 film cameras. I had read early on that the EP1 harkened back to the film era... for me it literally pointed the way.
 
An E-P2, the kit zoom lens and EVF, plus the M and FD adapters. Tons of useful lenses and digital instant gratification. So why do I still love film more??!!!
 
Nope. Have thought about it several times but the crop factor is just too much. I couldn't even handle a 1.6 crop factor.

I would have gotten it for the Mrs. last year, but they were too slow in getting it out and I needed to get her something for a holiday, so I got her a D-Lux 4 instead.
 
e30 here. Kit makes lots of sense out in the woods, what with tripod, camera(s), and lenses covering 12mm to 400mm, including three macros. And lunch. (I used Canon F-1n kit for years, so this is a lighter load.)

The crop factor isn't an issue for most purposes, and if it does become one, the RB-67 kits comes out. Which won't happen again for a couple months, until the surgical work finishes healing up. The switch from 23 to 40 lbs does slow one down. At least, those of us headed for incipient geezerdom, as my (barely) younger sister cackles.

I figured I'll be up to slow ambling in a few more days, with an M4 or R3m and a pair of lenses tucked in pockets. Makes the RF pretty attractive right now.
 
GH1, with the 20mm 1.7 pancake; I carry a Planar T* 50mm 1.7 for portraits and short telephoto. I haven't shot the kit lens at all -- the dang thing is heavy, for one thing. I'm enjoying it, so far.
 
E-P1 with kit lens plus and adapter for OM and Leica M mounts. Compliments a Canon 7D for sport, R-D1 for pleasure and Mamiya 7 for film (which is getting most use at present).

Bought mostly to get some extra megapixels over the R-D1 and use my old OM lens. Now it is the preferred camera for my partner. She prefers it over all the cameras.

If I was buying now I would go the E-P2 for the EVF.

what is it about the crop factor that puts you off chris? i understand that you need to use wider angle lenses but beyond that what are the other pitfalls?
