Can I throw one more tip into the hat?
When you pull the PC (stands for Poor Connection) cord out of the flash terminal try to pull it straight out. Don't twist it. Twisting can turn the internal leads and sooner or later will cause them tot wist off. This is not true on all lens but it's better to be safe. Lift straight off.
