on an Elmar 3.5/50mm?
Would it be possible to take it from an I 22?

There is a rather cheap one with the lock missing so I thought if it would be possible to repair it.
Best regards
Des

PS: Why I want to replace it?
Just some strange urge no need to ask in further posts

yessssssss.....

yessssssss.....

You don't need an infinity lock.
That's what I meant 😛
Hi Al you are not by chance part Bulgarian?
We are not able to give simple answers, we always ask "What do you need it for?" then we continue saying "C'mon only wimps want it" and to repat those two sentences in countless variations. It makes us very antiphilosophic and likeable characters who in contrast to our Russian cousins are not able to produce epic or tragic literature but tons of satire: The Bulgarian version of "War and Peace" would have been "C'mon there's nothing that can't be fixed over a bottle of grape brandy".

except that...

except that...

That's right Al - like most of the recent posts here, they are totaly unneccessary and a bit pointless! 😀

provide better handling to those collapsibles.....but yes that could be made just by screwing something else in without destroying an I 22....so the lord writes straight on curved lines and even when you don't get the answer on RFF you were looking for they provide you with a solution....

You should be able to buy a replacement infinity lock from Sherry Krauter or DAG. Not expensive.

Be sure that the notch in the base ring isn't too worn, or the infinity lock may not catch on it very well.

The infinity lock is a matter of taste, either you like it or you hate it. Al's not a big fan of them, he's a "fast action" person.

The dimensions compare pretty well. The only difference is the
Elmar's upper bush diameter. It's roughly .1 mm wider.
The Industar-22 part will fit but it'll be sloppy in the top end.
