so im reading page after page of all kinds of problems, and to be perfectly honest, i dont know what to look for, this kind of camera is a whole new world to me,
what should i be looking for on my r-d1 to know if i have problems or not?
its weird feeling like such an amateur when you go to professional photography school

if you don't see any problems with your R-D1, don't look for them! The more I look for dead pixels the more I find, if I look at the image ... well, I don't really see any ... exept for the bright blue spot almost perfectly centered on the nose of the cute girl I just photographed ... aaarrgghhh ...

Heh, it's very simple really. You shoot pictures, you look at pictures. Are there problems? No, then you are good.

Where'd my Bessa go?
If you've been reading the past threads, you would have read in detail what other R-D1 owners are facing. I think the issues are quite well documented and there shouldn't be more duplicate posts.

A problem is only a problem if you think it is. For most of us, most of the time, we're more fussy than we need to be.
Enjoy the camera... it's a great experience.
