I have tried any number of times to attach a picture, but given the limits of this site on attachments, I can't seem to get it right and exceed the permitted size. Can anyone tell me how to convert a jpg image to a size that the site will accept? The site sets a limit of 800 x 800 pxls. and 195.3 kb.

Just use/install Picasa.... select your image(s) and export it to the 800 pixel dimension (you can also set the quality factor that will determine the file size)

not sure what the problem is...
size it at 800 on the long side and for an image quality of 9 or 10.
that should fit without problem.

I save for e-mail in jpg at quality 12. I wouldn't think that 10 would make that much difference. My re-size is 72 ppi and max size 800. Image size is still 1.39 mb which is way over the size limit.
