How will you finance your FED 8 purchase?

Has anyone mentioned Peru yet? Before the conquistadors arrived, it was a perfect communist state. The peruvians had their land to farm, alloted when they were born. It was near-perfect and there was little violence or corruption. Of course, no-one had weaponry so as soon as the Spanish arrived they all became slaves.

While it is better to believe in something rather than nothing (nihilism), I pray for your soul, Ash! :) Besides, Satan only exists in the hearts of mankind. Satan as a "person" was created by the Christian church to scare and coerce people into going to church to make contributions. (Again, just my opinion.)
 
I'm going to stop now. This is all just banter and entertainment, but I realize I may be offending folks with this topic, so I am going to stop. Thank you for not taking me too seriously, I'm just a wiseguy.
 
FrankS exactly. I don't believe there is any such deity. 'Satan' the invention just stands to prove the human hypocrisy. I have had sex, and will do so up until I get married (from then I plan on having my genitalia removed) but according to some religions I am already damned. To be fair, from birth you have the Original Sin.

I understand there is an energy around us (more pagan than anything) but at the risk of being flamed, I don't agree with most religions, not least Christianity that I had shoved down my throat from birth. Call it rebellion if you like ;)


At least this way, as long as I show respect to all creatures, and don't expect an afterlife when I die, I can continue with a fair albeit slightly selfish dogma. I hope I haven't offended anyone, as far as I can remember, it is against Satanism to offend those who have not offended you (or something - basically don't be a cocky lil nit) :)

Ash, the Peruvians had plenty of weapons at the time that the Spanish appeared. The Inca ruler Atahualpa had a huge army, and had just consolidated his rule by defeating his half-brother in a civil war. They just did not have any weapons that were effective against Spanish troops armed with metal swords and firearms, and borne by armored war horses. Jared Diamond tells the story in the book Guns, Germs and Steel. Fascinating book.

I don't think either side had rangefinders, though.

I believe nearly anyone who runs for political office will bring with him/her the bad traits that generally plague politicians. A desire to hold public office should be grounds for disqualification.

As far as I know there is only one way to keep a politician upright

a noose around his neck!

Sooner than later they all should be introduced to the ropemakers daughter.

Sorry for the ranting, but we have another political scandal at the moment where a prime minister baught votes with tax money.
 
Speakers corner sure is an experience. I had to keep my mouth shut, I don't have the voice to shout for hours to those people :)
