Last year I bought a contax G2 from this seller for $535 BIN (it was near market value on his "minty" description). When I got the camera, the viewfinder was hazed up, and there was a faint, but perceptible scuff mark on the side of the camera, in addition to loads of scratches, all of which indicated the camera had been dropped. He was very generous with his description, and you couldn't see anything on the pictures. To his good side, he did refund my money and took the camera back (he's got a 14 day guarantee I think) with no questions. *shrug* The guy is usually very expensive with his camera gear, I'll ocassionaly stumble on it, but he takes larger pics now.

I think I mentioned in another thread that here in Taipei the street price for a Bessa L is between NT$7000 and NT$10,000 (US$200 - $300). It's what happens when there isn't a local distributor and the local merchants have decided to price fix. 🙁

Yeah, but this guy is in Hollywood, Ca. He's only a short drive from Stephen Gandy, who will sell you the same camera NEW for $69 (with a lens purchase).

Actually, I got mine from Gandy on sale for US$69 with no lens purchase. Plus shipping to Taipei I still got it for a hundred bucks 🙂

I should order a dozen more and sell them to the local camera shops 😛
