This may be of interest to some http://www.vintagevisuals.com/leica.htm . All the usual disclaimers apply about the vendor. Not endorsing anything just FYI.

The seller has a 30 day free repair warranty. What is the risk with only 1K actuations?
Quite amazing, as Leica's warranty is transferable. There must have been something else going on. Maybe the camera was out of guaranty... And a dealer charging for inspection before sending it in?Solms isn't that 'client-friendly' at all, I had once an M8 with a problematic sensor (dead pixels) and because I was the second owner, they didn't even wanted to repair it. I had to send it first to a dealer for inspection who charged a high price for that and once they sent it off to Solms I got it back without the proper sensor replacement. It had to be send a second time. The ultimate price charged was therefore quite huge (almost EUR 1000). Luckily the original owner paid part of the repair costs.
