Was that really a good deal? I don't know about you, but dents on the body really bothers me..

Any dent that is distinctively visible, messes up the beautifully designed lines of the M2. I'd pay a lil bit extra to have a dent free body.

Looks don't count if the price is low enough. A couple of years ago, it seemed as though any working M2 went for $1000.

What worries me are dings near the rangefinder. That M2 appears to have a nice knock in that area.

Brassing I'm all good with. Dents indicate forced trauma.. Those two tell very different stories indeed.

Wow! a lever-rewind M2 at that price from a legitimate "power seller"? It is (actually, was) a steal, even counting the CLA.

Incidentally, my own M2 has a very similar dent on the back of the top plate and still performs admirably.
Wait... was it stolen? no, it is still safe in the bag with the 40mm on it 😉

I can really use it without worrying about cosmetics, and I like that.

For the less classically minded, the same seller seems to still have a SL2 + Angénieux zoom, which is probably the supreme SLR + zoom combo. And it is not that expensive... sorry Raid! 😀
