Would anyone tell me please should I go with the Leitz 35mm summicron M? Or Voigtlander 35/1.4 Nokton? I do not like distortion. please any comment is helpful. I am new to leica lenses information.
If distortion bothers you, DO NOT choose the Nokton 35/1.4. There. Simple wasn't it
I agree, get the summicron.

Thank you all for the helpful comments. Yes.. that is why I said Leitz summicron, because it is older and would be cheaper.

It doesn't work like that. The oldest Summicron 35 is also the most expensive (sans the current ASPH version).Thank you all for the helpful comments. Yes.. that is why I said Leitz summicron, because it is older and would be cheaper.

Why? Is it cuz of the smaller size?It doesn't work like that. The oldest Summicron 35 is also the most expensive (sans the current ASPH version).

Many like the rendering of the first version with 8-elements. It is a very high resolving lens in the centre but with softer edges at larger apertures. The fourth version also has many fans.
There's some good information here:

The distortion of the 35/1.4 CV is still less than even the most expensive SLR lenses. Go for it.
