I deleted the negative post thread

I have had enough! I am tired of baby sitting and watching the insults. My moderators do a great job and spend too much time trying to work things out and keep the forum in order. They have a list of people who need to be banned. I will communicate with them and finalize the dropping of the trouble makers.

Why don't you move the offending threads to a special forum, Jorge and let them have it out. You could call it "the Arena" and lovers of blood sports could visit it and observe. Meanwhile the rest of us could get on discussing rangefinders and photography in general.

just another thought that maybe you can hold out for a few days to see who has already left. it would save some unneccessary communiactions.

While it doesn't mean much, I support Jorges right to intervene in these matters. This is not a democracy, it is his forum and he has the right to take action in these matters. After people are warned they should be banned. He is not being unreasonable. IMHO

These kind of personal attacks and negative postings are a common problem nowadays with internet forums. People say things that they wouldn't if they were in face to face discussions. You find it everywhere. I just don't see people acting like this in face to face matters.

BTW, I am not sure that a new forum for fighting it out is a good idea. I imagine that it will spread elsewhere and cause more headaches.

Why delete negative threads. Not everyone shoots digital or slide film. Negatives have as much a place on the forum as prints and web scans. I don't know anymore what is going on. I'm so confused.

I think that another problem is that things come accross differently when in writing. Facial expressions, hand gestures and body language communicate far more than words in some instances. People misinterpret something, they say something back, and next thing you know.... Then again, some people are just difficult.
