he is a fine and intrepid photographer, a film shooting rogue and all around brilliant bloke.

i now have the pleasure of knowing him as earl and you might all know him as trius. if you get the chance to spend an afternoon with him do go out of your way to do it! this fella has that shutter working OVERTIME!

Well gosh ... It was great to meet you too, John, and your beautiful family. We also had the company of the truly great and gracious Larry Towell today.

And thanks for the beers, mate. We will have to get together again before you take off again for Nigeria.

Earl is one of the blokes on this forum that I would dearly like to meet one day ... I think you're very lucky to have done so. :)

We're lucky to have Earl as part of our Greater Toronto Area (GTA) group.

Actually, there are a bunch of great people in this group!

I have had his XA-4 for a while now, I am afraid to use for fear rubbing off the essence! Maybe one day I'll auction it and retire! :D
 
If that's the Earl with whom I've corresponded, then he's one fine fellow. And if it's a different Earl, then it still sounds like he's a fine fellow.
 
Joe: the only speaking fee until now has been the one my wife (grudgingly) pays me to shut my mouth. But now that you mention it ...

gdi: USE that XA4!

I'm far away from film processing and scanning right now, but once I can get to it I'll start a thread with snaps from the weekend. John and I spent the weekend enjoying the Home County Folk Festval in London, ON.
