Hey, nikon_sam, I see from your status caption that you're an analog shooter like me! That is really groovy. Cheers, mate. Have a nice day.
I know, that EVIL, isn't it?

Improving daily--I think.
While this description is quite technical and is from another time I think it would mean pretty much the same thing today: If you haven't got a backup, you're scr*wed.>
FORTRAN is my primary language. English is a pain.
This, I can understand.

What else did you play with in those early computer days? I programmed my first computer in 1966 (IBM 1620) and moved on to the much more powerful system 360 in 1967. Since I ended up not pursuing the field I have forgotten most of what I learned but I do remember Fortran, Cobol, Machine Language and IBM's Assembler code. What I remember most about Fortran was that it was such a simple but absolutely "logical" program to use...

OMG was the first time used in 1917 (if you believe the oxford english dictionary) but it was written O.M.G. back then.

I hate everything. When someone breathes or when the wind blows or when the earth spins it annoys me.

Haha when I photograph using my Leica - "So can we see the picture now?"
"Erm no, it's a film camera"
"So there's no screen?"
"No..."
"So when can we see it"

Issue is such a nice management word. You only have to deal with one type of thing, which makes management much easier
After good management you can change the criticality of an issue without the need to name it differently. All you need for that is one plain Excel-sheet, the Issue-list.

The word that is seriously irritating me just at the moment is "Olympic".:bang:

You could try peloton instead. I'd avoid the fencing if I were you, it could cause a nervous breakdown, infact any of the martial arts could be a bit risky for your nervous state. Come to think of it the tennis is out too, and some of the equestrian stuff is a bit dodgy lingo wise. I expect most of them are not totally safe, better switch off all media for the next two weeks just to be on the safe side.

feature is a word to hate during olympic television coverage. that means an insipid feature story is coming up, rather than actual coverage of an actual event ...

Never liked "Capture"...never used "Soup"...I've been in a "Peloton" but never called it that...
Lately, not liking the term..."Epic Failure"...it's been used for things like when your coffee isn't hot enough...

"Liberal" used as a pejorative. And the implicit assumption that everyone within earshot of hearing the word "liberal" used negatively would agree that it is pejorative.
That's what bugs me.

"Nice tones"
"Pleasing composition"
"Cleaning marks" is a good one.
Does anyone really ask, "Is that digital"? It seems to me, if they don't know cameras, they probably figure everything is digital. If they do know cameras, they know.
Cheers,
Gary
What does nice tones even mean?
