I disagree with the OP - even the cheapest binocs are useful for astronomy. Binoculars are easier to locate things with than a telescope where you're looking at the sky through a drinking straw at a right angle, upside down and backwards.
I enjoy the bokeh of a Zuiko 85/2, but find that of a CV 35/1.2 goes better with my pasta.
