Well, it was news to me: I thought it was still in my eye. I went fishing around and couldn't find it. I'm trying to disinfect an old pair hoping they'll do for now.

Always keep a pair of glasses handy in case you lose a contact. 
Maybe it rolled to the back of your eyeball? I hate when that happens.

I thought you lost a Contax and also that you misspelled (I see people naming them Contact now and then)... well I'm sorry for you. I wear glasses but it's not desperate at all, in fact I don't use them to take photos

But don't be afraid, there are some kind of skin folds back there that won't let it go way too far so you can 'rescue' them by rolling a bit your eye up, it's one of the first classes in 'contacts 101'
