I borrowed a C-Sonnar 50/1.5 for about half an hour from a local camera shop to make some test images, and experience the usability and balance on my M3 (sublime - the two were made for each other...)
I really like the character of this lens, and would love to own one someday. This was one of the better prints from that little test run. Funny how MTF charts mean nothing in a shot like this - only tones and character...
Having used a little bit more digital recently than what I'm accustomed to, I am again so impressed with film's dynamic range. This was taken on TMAX 400 at f/1.5 at 1/1000s (more like 1/800s at the best of times on a Leica) and the lighting was incredibly bright, midday sun outside. Overexposed by at least three stops.

This is an uncoated 5cm 1.5 Sonnar from 1938 (converted to LTM). The car is not much older than the lens.

Thank you, I'll print one when I am printing again. It was a very low shutter speed hand held, so it might not look so good on a big print. That old sonnar must be a beauty, and it created a cool image!
Danny, Nice colors and moments in your last pictures! Is the Vespa one a double exposure?
And Benji, that is some very tasty Black and white stuff. What were they watching in the 2nd picture?
Seeing these image I want to take my sonnar out again, but I am a bit busy, also with a new video camera, so here is some from a few weeks ago, same roll as before:
