I took one similar to Michael's, posted above, in Longleat Wiltshire, wide open and about a stop under ideal but at 1/15th, moral don't shoot 100iso inside poorly lit buildings
Apologies for drying marks I will re-wash !!

Thanks Michael, it is a "special" lens and will not suit everyone, I'm glad yours has found a home now.
We all know you can never be too thin, have too much money or too many 50mm lenses
(or 35mm come to that)

And something new from me. Sometimes I struggle with my sonnar, like now. A whole film of pub photography from the weekend is wasted, because it is unhealthy grainy, noisy, crispy and not really unsharp, but not even a little bit sharp, too. Maybe it was to dark, maybe I was to unconcentrated or to shaky. But I think, the sonnar needs some practice and more important the right film! I have the feeling, the sonnar won't work well with every film. I've never managed it, to push an TX400 to 3200 with the sonnar, but a Tmax 3200 just looks outstanding. (Both HC110) I love APX100 /Rollei Retro 100 in Rodinal, shot with the sonnar, but the silvermax looks like crap with that.
Did you ever had the same feeling?
Now some pictures, who worked well
