I made it into the local news

I first taught 10 Master's level students a course on using disease surveillance software along with information on using ArcGIS for mapping and also using the Statistical Analysis System for modeling risk factors. All students worked together to learn as a team everything they needed to learn so that in the following semester each student on her/his own could work on an individual project. In this case, Bridget Fritsch chose to work on breast cancer clusters in the USA.

Great work Raid! Thanks for your perseverance and dedication.

My mother's sister, who lived in New York City, died at the relatively young age of 50 from breast cancer. She definitely could be included in the poorer population category. Here's hoping folks like her will be helped in the future as a result of your hard work.

Thank you Ellen.
Investigators ignore environmental pollution and they keep on getting no leads on why breast cancer rates are very high in some regions of the US.
