Soon I'll stop the flow of SLR pics to my gallery. ;)

I finally have my Bessa R, after months of deliberation, and making deals with myself. My first rangefinder.

Unfortunately, I ruined the first roll of film I shot with it, some cheap CN fuji I used to document a friend's birthday (I had to leave literally five minutes after opening the camera box!). It felt right at home in my hands, and the RF focusing, though it took some getting used to, was no problem. Yes, all was good, until I had to rewind the film and take it out. I got the film advance stuck halfway forward on the final frame, and the film ripped when I tried to rewind it, leading to an exposed roll when I opened the back. :-/
Luckily, it still served a purpose after death, I used it to practice feeding film into my dev tank's reel.

Right now I'm waiting until August first, when I get film (Arista II 400) and print-files in from freestyle. Then, thanks to the quicker turnaround of home developing, I'll be able to get some pictures up here!

Not satisfied with just your first RF, are you? :D

Congratulations on the camera, and best of luck with developing that film.

Heh, I had to jump in with both feet.

My first roll came out pretty good, especially for not being able to measure the temps, and having a few slips related to timing.
An example (Hp5+ 400):

A little bit overexposed in the balding man's face, but if this is your first attempt you are definitely on the right track; just shorten your developing time or agitate less and you'll be golden.

Developing is magic, isn't it?
