I decided to be courageous and I think I am happy. I have wanted to go digital for awhile, mainly for the convenience. Not exclusively, of course. Anyway the M8 was/is just more than I can spend. The RD-1(s) looks great but seems a little like an orphan. I was prowling around on Gandy's website the other nite and started looking at the lens adapter page. Nikon to 4/3's. Hmmmm. I have 7 Nikon lenses mostly pre AIS for those of you old enough to remember. Orphans but great lens all of them. So I picked up an Oly E-500. Very nice but not my style. Then I started looking at the Panasonic L1 with that really nice Leica zoom 14-50mm f2.8-3.5. Started looking for some prices. bingo, B+H had a used one for $1270. Got it, then I got the lens adapter. Slapped on my old Nikkor 50mm f1.4. Works like a charm. Wahoo!! I now have a fixed 100mm equilivant at f1.4.
You, I know it really is a DSLR and not a Rangefinder., but I am having fun.

Cool forum, but I still have 2 RF"S. BTW, this whole thing is partially Gandy's fault.dazedgonebye said:Your new home....

I love this kind of stuff. Very clever, but I couldn't find the Lumix adapter on the CameraQuest site. That site is like, for you Canadians, an old Herter's catalog. Where is it? I found Panasonic SLR adapters but....

Remember the Lumix uses the 4/3 lens mount.
