i want i want i want...

As my dear old Grandmother used to say;

"'I want' doesn't get"

How about "I would like"?

Bill

So did my Gram... quickly followed by "yes, dear" in a rather dismissive tone when the desire was rephrased. In general I think she was encouraging action over talk. Idle talk was often put in the same category as idle hands. :)

That kind of damns all internet forums including this one! ;)

It looks like you have the CV 35mm f/2.5. What does the new Zeiss have that the CV doesn't? I believe the CV is quite a lens, while being smaller and faster.

the cv 35 is a great and small lens it is true but it's part of the cv r4a kit.

the new zm would be part of the zeiss kit. i like to change things around at times, the 35/2 zm is a fabulous lens and i have nothing but high praise for it. if the zm 35/2.8 is as good i would be very happy and maybe it's better but for sure it's different.

analyzing, being logical rarely enters into these decisions for me...that's for work and matters of import.

as to the money part of things i usually lose a few bucks but someone else usually gets a pretty good deal on my older but pristine gear and that's a good thing.

i don't drink, smoke or do drugs and since the heart attack i gave up my cigars to boot so what else should i spend my money on?

life is too short to worry about the hobbies of life.

That's refreshing to read. I'm also glad you're giving good deals to other people.

Buy a Noctilux :)

Haven't heard mention of your new dog 'Mugsy' for a while Joe ... how's he going!

I'm currently looking after my neighbour's dog ... she's been in the US visiting family for a month and her pooch 'Ben' is gorgeous. She's back on monday and I'm not sure how I'm going to cope! :p

whoops sorry ... we're supposed to be discussing lenses aren't we!

You know, Joe, you could just buy a 35/2.8 Biogon and start a new kit.

For example, in the form of a Jupiter 12 (-C ? :) ) on a Fed body ....

Roland.
