digitalintrigue, I'm glad to have your reassurance.
Chriscrawfordphoto, your advice of "if you want them to keep doing so, keep buying it" is absolutely spot-on for me personally, and far more valid than the Internet Wisdom it appears to be. Last week I was building up a $200+ film order at B&H, but on Sunday, September 25, I figured out that it would actually be cheaper for me to buy small quantities as needed from my local store. We all know what happened on September 26: Kodak needs $160,000,000 from their line of credit, their market valuation gets cut in half, and people who are much smarter and more informed than I am start talking about the possibility of bankruptcy. Needless to say, I wish I'd just gone ahead and bought those thirty rolls.
redisburning, GaryLH, thanks for the suggestions – I've been starting some research into Fuji films, and the first thing I've discovered is that it's more expensive. I had tried out Fuji films when I first started using my Fujifilm camera, naturally, but didn't really gel with any of them. Then The New Portra came along, and I stopped looking.
I certainly hope that Kodak continues with business as usual, but I'm going to start looking at other options as well as building up some stock.
