If you'd sell x100 what would you buy?

IMHO Nikon D700/300 did not fall that quickly. Note price hold on M9.

Well, those Nikon cameras were all in demand and had supply issues at times. The M9 is a Leica...Leicas always do better resale wise. You are starting to see some M9s sell for 75% these days. Once the Fuji supply caught up with demand, it is bound to be selling at normal used prices.

There's a setting that makes it wake faster (most of the time) - I forget what it is, you'll have to charge your battery slightly more often but it.

I'm waiting to see what the new Olympus is like and the Fuji X-Pro 1. One of those will probably replace the X100.

it focusses fast enough.. it takes about a 'minute' to get from sleep mode to activity.

Based on a few quick, unscientific tests. My X100 takes about 6.5 to 7.5 seconds to go from Off/Sleep though focus lock to capture. No not the fastest times in the world but no where near a "minute"

I wonder if you have developed a problem. Mine was quite quick to fire up but, now it is suddenly very sluggish.
Like up to 30 seconds sluggish regardless of battery condition.
Focus is normal once it wakes.
Have you considered it's Tune up time?
There really is no replacement for this camera other than this camera.
Sure you could get a different camera but, it would not be an x100.

You need to make sure you have OVF power save mode set to off and quick start mode set to on. Mine wakes up quite quickly - just a few seconds.

I doubt you can get an RD1 from Japan for anywhere near 1100 euros - I haven't seen one.

It's quite well-established that the x100's start-up time is badly affected by formatting the SD card in a computer (especially a MAC, I believe), and this can result in a start-up time in excess of 15 seconds. The SD card must be formatted in the camera, in order to avoid the problem. The start-up time should be around two seconds. There's a thread on this on x100forum.com (http://www.x100forum.com/index.php?/topic/1161-slow-startup/).

Love my X100 and might consider an XPro 1 companion if it comes with a self cleaning sensor option that works well.

I'm with you.. I was in love with my x100 for a while, but now i'm pretty much in 'like' with it.. all because of focus issues.

I probably won't sell mine, but if I did get another camera.. well, I can't think of anything else i'd rather have since nothing else really has an optical viewfinder with manual controls along with the same kinda IQ.. I mean, semi-affordable anyway (M9 is too expensive).. i'd probably just keep shooting film with my M6 or other various cameras

Considering all of the cameras I've tried since purchasing the X100, I would say that my answer is an unqualified, "None!" (My wife threatened whimsical consumption at Neiman Marcus if I even think about buying another camera before 2012 has concluded)
