Just push it two stops in good light with a large format camera! Seriously, the moth was my 18th large format photo ever, I don't use a light meter (HP5 does not need one - ever), and I don't use any gimmicky special developers etc.
Find a good subject, the film will do the rest.
I love the old-school goodness and punch of HP5 in medium- and large format. This is HP5 in 6x7cm (Mamiya RB67) at ISO400. Appears more grainy than usual in the sky because of extreme burning-in on the darkroom print, but it's not really so visible on the paper (scanning greatly emphasises grain):
