HP5+ EI 200 in Perceptol 1:2

I've been shooting HP5 recently and have got some pretty nice results with LC 29 @ 1+19, but I've got some rolls of Tri-X on the way after looking at Bud's photos on Flickr -
Apart from the excellent photographs that have already been mentioned, I like the bright whites, rich blacks and crisp grain - a look I've been after for a while
Attached - HP5 + @ 400, 6.5 mins LC29, 3 inversions per minute

Oy, another thread where humour needs to be presented as a caveat.
I still say it's the spelling.
Thanks, Magus, for reading it exactly for what it was.
I do find the casual use of the word "offensive" offensive. Is it the new moon? ::shrug::
I hope I didn't offend any lunar people.

Another tip of the hat. When I grow up, I want to take photos like that.FrankS said:Forget about camera brand, lens, film or developer: Bud, your photography clearly demonstrates THE MOST IMPORTANT aspect of photoraphy - the photographer's eye!

Seriously, though: if you got "flat" images with Tri-X, development and/or exposure was probably to blame, not the film."
Firstly I find it offensive to be refered to in this way. I dont go around insulting other who dont agree with my opinions, and therefore dont expect others to do this to me.
There is nothing wrong with the way I develop or expose my films - and I dont like the insinuation of incompetance.
Everybody has the right to express their opinions and preferences - or at least I thought that was the point of RFF.
I shall not be posting on this thread again.
If other folks can get good negs with Tri-x, then it *is* your technique. Or are you the only one here who has nothing left to learn?
You should not be offended. You should, instead, be embarrassed.

HP5+ (EI 400) used to be processed in Rodinal 1+ 60 + 1 g Borax per lit. work solution at 20°C for 15 à 16 min., and stand development when I have the curare to do so (1+100 + 1 g/lit. Borax at 20°C for 1:30 h). The Borax serves to reduce the base-fog a little, as Patrick Gainer suggested (and he 's right).
Now it is HP5+ (EI 400) in Pyrocat-HD 2:2:100 at 22°C for 13 min, witch I like more.
The HP5+ is, of course, the replacement for APX 400...
