Glad to hear that but I didn't know you were sick.

Once I met an old man in Edmonton with the same last name. He was a professional spit shine man. So I had my shoes done and hopped back on the plane. The Ed' airport's quite the cab ride. 😎

Good news Joe. Enjoy the return to some normallancy. Do follow your doctor's advice and listen to your body. Don't push to much too quick. Conversly, don't slack too much. Weird, huh?

Congraulations, Joe.

Nice to get back to work.

Even better to get back to some photography. I'm sure those Canon's were going stir-crazy.

Congratulations Joe on being fit for work.
My sympathies for actually going back to work so soon.
Just think of the time you could have spent exercising those P's now you fit again 😉

Tell us how the couple of days back at work have gone Joe, we want to know for when it happens to us. - Again, in some cases ! - Do you feel OK ? or is it tough going ?

Regards to you and Sugar. John C.

Maybe you've told us already Joe, but I missed it - what kind of (day) job is it?
Anyhow, as the song goes, Welcome to wherever you are! 🙂

well, it's been a helluva couple of first days back.

my agency has a new executive director and he is re-organizing from the top down.
i was informed that everyone working there had an interview time set aside for a chat with the boss, mine was 3:30 monday afternoon.
the short side of it was i was handed a notice that in 3 months time my job would be terminated. i was laid off. needless to say i was surprised as i thought i had previously escaped this fate.
today, one of the managers asked to speak to me...and he offered me any job i wanted in one of our new programs starting in december.

talk about a f**king roller coaster ride!!

what do i do for a living?
i normally work in not for profit agencies (that's why i'm poor) teaching basic communication and problem solving skills, with the goal of finding successful employment for the client.
for the past 5 years my client base has been women who have left abusive relationships. it's a very stressful job.
my 'new' client base will be social assistance recipients who have been out of work, for many different reasons, and who are now seeking employment. the structure of the new program and the change in clientèle might mean my everyday work will be a bit easier and far less emotional.
might be a good thing, but i really like working intensely with people...

and how was your day...😉

joe

I am glad that the good came to you so quickly after the bad.

It is probably best to grab a heart healthy glass of grape juice (isn't that what Larry King says?), plop down on the couch next to the dog, put your feet up and just relax tonight.
