I just took a mental inventory of all the really great bodies and lenses I have sold in the past 3 years, both here and on other sites. What a fool!!! Why oh why would I sell a ZI, a Leica IIIa jewel. a Heliar 50mm/f2, a ZM 25/2.8, the list goes on and on. GAS sucks when you look back at the reverse of it.

Let it go, Dude! You did it, it's over with. It felt good at the moment, right? It freed up some cash for blowing on other gas giving artifacts that you really didn't need either! It keeps money circulating. Together with a few thousand other like minded individuals we just might get the country out of recession afterall. Go ahead! Make the sacrifice. Buy more. Be a patriot.

You ask, "why oh why?" Well, either you were not using the gear, in which case selling it makes perfect sense, or you are addicted to some sort of unhealthy behavior... if it makes you cry.... seriously. I never got the GAS thing.

Not to mention you brought so much GAS relief to others when they celebrated their new camera gear day. Nothing like seeing a brown box on your porch when you get home from a dull day at the office

Out of hundreds of trades the only gear I regret selling is a mint 35mm Summicron V4 and a 35mm Summilux pre-asph.
LOL. "Nothing like seeing a brown box on your porch when you get home from a dull day at the office " SO TRUE!

But don't you now have a black paint M7? What would you rather have?

i regret very little when it comes to selling gear. some stuff i would have kept but really could not afford to if i wanted some new stuff.
of all the sales, i miss the cle the most but i prefer digital to film so it had to go.
and the nikon rf gear is so pretty i wish i could have kept that too.

By the way, I know the feeling. I had a mint chrome MP I bought for $2000, a Shintaro painted black M3, a $400 M4-2, a nice vintage titanium shutter SP... but I'm happy with my user black MP. Unless you want to get rid of your M7!
