I'm sorry. It's not you...it's me.

What's the story on signatures? Under "User Settings" I see an option to "show signatures" - but I can find no way to edit my signature.

Glad I didn't totally give up. I've lurked around a little since the OT and things are definitely on the mend and upswing.

Maybe it's not perfect but I'm feeling a lot better about the forum today.

Glad to hear this. Stick around. Maybe someone will invent an Old Duffers thread where those of us who have been in some way or another gobsmacked, bewildered, exasperated etc. can relate what has been driving us bats in RFF 2.0.

As for me, today I was recalling academic computing in the 1980s when in order to “typeset” a publication (I.e., prep it for the printer), I had to know dozens of keyboard codes in WordStar.

That’s about where I am in the current RFF. However, RFF can’t fire me like Duke University could have in 1984. Easy does it still works as a mantra in matters like this. Or taking 6 months off from RFF.

Its not very intuitive but you’re on the right track. Do this:

Under your user name at top, select “Account” -> “User Settings” -> scroll down to the “Edit Post Signature” hyperlink, click on that and then edit your sig.

Easy peasy! :)

Got it. Hiding in plain sight. ...

I do hope linking can be corrected. Lots of information is lost otherwise.

A few days after starting this thread, I came back and things were looking up. Since then, things appeared improved. But now, it's becoming frustrating again. I think I'll bow out again for a while.

I can't handle having to relearn procedures seemingly every day when I come here.

It would be nice if there was a new sub-forum created called "Transition" where all the current and future threads of issues with the RFF change-over could be collected so one doesn't have to rely on finding something in the New Topics list, or searching every forum and sub-forum, and that the Moderators can redirect such threads to. What do you think, JT? Can it happen? I like the way things are progressing so far, but easier access to information about the change-over should be the priority here.

All these glitches, recreation of the layout and themes, should have been handled well before taking the site live. I guess it's too late to turn back now.

Starting next week i will work on a single sign on vs the 2 different accounts

There are already so many forums on this website, it's totally insane. What on earth are they all for?! 137 varieties.
