I came back from a holiday trip to Arizona last night. I know there are a few s90 threads but I wanted to make another one to express my fondness for it. I've been very impressed with the little camera, its ability to produce some wonderful quality photos, and its compact size. It's a very convenient and fun way to take pictures when you don't want to carry around a lot of stuff. Trust me, when I went to Sedona I saw a ton of people fumbling around a huge array of cameras and lenses.

But still... when I was at the Grand Canyon I saw a guy with an M9 and I said to him "Niiice camera!" I think he liked the props.

Wow!!! Great images, hard to believe they were taken with a p&s!! I'm hoping I find an S90 among my Christmas presents!!

Yes, appears to be good for brightly lit stationary objects: probably the least challenging parameters for any camera. Kids? sports? Low light? Still stuck with an M or SLR. :-(
 
Well there's the one lowlight photo in there, two if you include the dusk one of the Grand Canyon. There's another thread about its lowlight performance (and it performs well). I did capture some photos of my fiancee's cousin's cat in mid-air while playing with a toy mouse as far as sports goes.

Glad you enjoyed your visit to our state. I recognize many of the spots you shot.

As well as the S90 handled these shots, these are actually the times I would have had a higher end camera with me. So many great shots to be had, I'd want to bring home all the image I could.

That said, I'd love to have a s90 as a "with me all the time" camera.
 
I'm sure I'll be back to Arizona at a certain point. This was just a breeze through Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Sedona is ridiculously touristy and has a frustrating lack of places to take snaps unless you go on a jeep/helicopter/balloon tour anyway. There's much more to see at the Grand Canyon.

I did take some photos with my Autocord though.

Easier than using my Autocord at least. I can compose and use the functions and know what it's telling me easily enough. I really can't get a good idea of what I've really got until I've uploaded the darn things (this goes for any digicam I've used though).

In my first shots of the Grand Canyon I noticed things looked kinda weird. The colors and contrasts were all wonky. Shots not matching the metering in the slightest. Finally I noticed I had something called "iContrast" turned on and set to "Auto". I figured out something was amiss in the sunlight at any rate.
 
I love my S90, especially the low light mode. Great for walking around shots in urban areas at night. Great performance for a really tiny camera.

Recently put black vinyl electrical tape over the white-letter Canon and S90 on the front of the body, and blacked out the white lettering on the lens using a Sharpie.

A couple of pics this AM taken in SCN- Snow mode, full auto. Squeezed off about a dozen before the snow got really thick.

Mine is on the way from Amazon. Should be here by week's end. I'm really impressed with the results from this camera. Like the bokeh of the two last shots here.

EDIT: Nice flash simulation site of S90 features/controls with some light interaction here.

I got an S90 for Yule. I LOVE it.
I put a Promaster ballistic LCD protector on it.
Ordered a grip for it.
And got a small M-Rock Biscayne bag for it. (Removed the label and all the velcro and it fits great and has room for an extra battery and the wrist strap.)
I've also actually taken some photos with it!
