Curious. Now that I have purchased and have become enthralled with an X-Pro1 ... Is this the answer?
In the perpetual struggle to get to "thee" kit, I have gone from X-100 to adding an X-E1 and now the Pro. I love my little 100, but this thread shows that I could sell everything and "lensify" my Pro. But would I be happy? As limiting as the fixed lens 100 can be, it certainly has been otherwise endearing.
Has anyone made this leap?
The X-Pro1 fills a niche; the X100/s another. For me, the X-Pro1 is for slow, considered landscape/portrait/still-life type photography. The X100s is for carry-everywhere spontaneous street/family/kid photography. Of course one can be swapped for the other, but in general I like having both.

Compared to X100/s?
Compared to X100/s?
Has anyone here compared the new lens on X-E or X-Pro with images made with the X100/s cameras? Based on such a camparison, is there any argument(s) for having both the lens AND an X100/s?

I haven't posted in a while, but thought I'd share a shot with the Fuji 23mm. Pretty cold in Finland now...

Joe, to me this is one of those images that says "interesting idea that needs to be pursued". I think you could pursue this use of 'barely revealed subject'. If you don't, I might!

For all you folks that have been using this 23mm lens AND who've used the X100 or X100s: Do you think this lens offers substantially more of something than the X100/s provides? (Other than the extra speed of course).

i thought the x100 lens was very sharp until i got the 23…then it started looking a bit soft to me.
after shooting with the 16-50 as a daily carry kit with the xe1…i sold the x100!

Sure... but to be fair ... your xe1 has more resolution than the x100 and lacks the traditional aa filter the x100 has .
Of course the x100 will appear less sharp.

Love this one... colors, textures... and yes, I have felt cold when I have seen the photo. ;-)

Have I heard right? The X100 soft? Oh my god... one day I will prove this lens in a X-T1, maybe?

no argument from me…
and to be completely honest…i think the 35/1.4 is the sharpest of the 3.
the 23 seems a bit more contrasty as well which would make it look sharper as well.
