Imported Provia 100F-safe?

B&H has some interesting deals on imported Provia 100. Is there any danger in buying this stuff. I live in Singapore, buying film out here is pretty lame, so I usually buy in bulk when I go back to the states.

As a side note, how does this film handle pushing one stop?

B+H is in NY, Provia is manufactured in Japan or somewhere else outside the US. So all Provia in the US must be imported from somewhere, right? There are "official" Fuji importers and re-importers. Their films were manufactured on the same day, same plant, just happened to end up in separate boxes for shipping out.

Buy them whichever way you feel more safe or paranoistic. Your choice.

Get Provia 400X, it pushes much better

I stocked up on Provia ISO 400 when I was able to find. You can push it all the way to 1600 and still get very good results. Search for Provia in these forums. I think Gabriel MA posted some photographs of his results doing this.
