California (Bay Area, Northern) Impromptu SF Bay Area Meeting 9/27!!

Hi SF Bay Area members. We (ferider, vrgard, ampguy, cmogi, and I) are pulling together an impromptu local meeting. I've PM'd several members already. PM me if you need directions. We're meeting in Burlingame this Thursday at 7:30 PM.

I haven't posted my bakery shot yet...it's because I'm not happy with my shot but I'll get it up here soon.

You missed a good time, John. Let's see, we had Roland, Ray, Ted, Mike, Carl, Martin and myself. Not to mention an interesting assortment of cameras and lenses. You shoulda seen Mike's vintage ltm Summar lens on Carl's M8 - talk about mixing the old with the new! And a bit of horse trading went on as well (Roland got his 90 Cron, I got a nice black leather A&A neck strap and an M3 spool, I think a viewfinder magnifier deal was done, etc.). I'll leave it to Ted and Carl to post some of their digi-pics of the gathering. Definitely a good time was had by all and we'll have to do it again soon.

Sorry for the delay on posting photos. Much fun last night...well the brawl was a little out of hand, as was the torching and tipping of the police car, but bail wasn't hard to make. I just had to sell a few cameras to make it. But I'm out, and the first order of business was to DL some photos. D200 CV 40/2:

not nearly as sharp or as well composed as Ray's D200/CV photos, or Carl's M8 photos.

A co-worker photo friend liked the one where Roland is moving and slightly blurred, but his nice (and I'm sure fast...) cycle is in focus.

I had a great time. Look forward to another get together soon. Film roll scans next week, unless Ray's 1 hour photo opens shop
