In 2009 I want a . . . .

World Peace, right-wing hate-mongers imploding in their own supply-and-demand conundrum, a few more M8.2s, a Leica 35mm ASPH Summilux, and the Zeiss 85mm f/2 Sonnar ZM

A better scanner than the Epson V700 for 35mm negatives ... a computer with dual core processing and at least four gigs of memory ... and a decent CRT monitor.

A job where I can use the new-to-me Summarit 50mm 1.5 AND the hopefully-soon-new-to-me-in-2009 lens, the 90mm chrome Summicron!...or the chrome 90mm F2.8 Elmarit...or the Noctilux...or, Xenon...wait a minute, it's not Christmas!

So, I will just be happy with a 90mm 'cron...

I'd like the CV 50/1.5 Nokton. Preferably a Leica body to mount it to as well, but I'm trying to be somewhat realistic here...

As far as photography goes - to improve my skills using what I have, plus travel a lot, so I can use it all in some interesting places.

I want all the people of the world to embrace one another in love.
But since I know that's never going to happen, I'd settle for a darkroom in the attic.
Just waiting on an estimate from the plumber - if it's low enough, I can do the rest myself.

fuji gf670
leica mp a la carte
50mm summilux asph
ebony rw810

those last three are pipe dreams, though. i was thinking that an epson r-d1s with the 28/2 ultron would be fun to play with until the m9 comes out on sept. 15, 2010.

I'm planning on keeping 2009 a GAS free year for me, and maybe even thin the collection a bit. That said, I do have an irrational desire for a black MP, black Nikon S2, or black Nikon SP (50's version).

A 21mm Summilux and film - would be nice; seems like a better 'investment' than a M8-2.
But with a looming sense of reality hitting hard, it's going to be a year for saving rather than spending.
