Insanity?

This seller comes up with great stuff but is pricey. The last model of the 8.5cm F2 lens is rare, and iften gets about twice what the chrome model brings. Byt $500 for a hood is too much. That is $200 more than what I paid for my 8.5cm f2 chrome complete with two part hood, caps, and case.
 
This seller (in their various aliases, such as villagegoodies) has opening bids that are pretty consistently twice what the same items sell for from other sellers. They appear to be trolling for folks who don't know the true values of routine items.

Yes, they occasionally have something really rare, but at a nutso price. But it's the middle-of-the-road items that can be insanely priced. They are paying a lot of listing fees for things that never sell. Of course the people who do buy from them must be paying for those fees...

They also sometimes have stuff in pretty awful condition -- at least the pictures make that clear.
