Yes, I`ve seen this ad......but Leica`s were always expensive, or at least always had good trade in values for use for new equipment buys
(like the Volkswagen of the camera world)
a 1945 Leica IIIC K cost about $120 new.....sold for about $200 in 1965 and in 1985 over $1,000 and in 2005 about $2,000 ever a good appreciation if I ever saw one.....the M3 has also been as good a winner as well, the M4 is the next big gainer, and the IIIG has already made it, years ago....last but not least will be the M6 which will as I can see, also be a big gainer like the M3 is, while good examples will be hard to find in 10 years
.....Ever notice how you always see in printed Leitz history the 1939 to 1945 period is NEVER mentioned, conveniently as if the Leica IIIC never existed, (even if it was the most significant camera improvement of that era) so how`s that for
de-nazifacation?
