interesting Kiev & soviet lenses photos

I wish I could read Japanese.

I've been browsing their websites for years. I have a Japanese wife, which is the next best thing.

The Japanese, closely followed lately by the Chinese, are the most devoted, meticulous and obsessed collectors of old equipment in the world.

Some of their websites are works of art.

They excel in adapting and mounting old, esoteric lenses, and in using them for beautiful photos. They truly appreciate the nuances of old gear.

Indeed, I always find surprising accessories or adaptations on their websites that I unfortunately do'nt understand. I had one japanese tourist in Paris, equipped with a digital canon and a lens well above 300mm lens watch with curiosity at my Pentacon six & its 180/2.8 sonnar... heartwarming moment! 🙂

It's fascinating where a Thread will lead... Here I learn from Ed Felcher:
The Japanese, closely followed lately by the Chinese, are the most devoted, meticulous and obsessed collectors of old equipment in the world.
I take support from this for the "few" cameras & lenses I have from 50's, 60's
and 70's.

And Max's research into and listing of FSU lenses, has been very helpful on more than one occassion.
Ciao, mike
