iPhone 7, who's getting it?

....
I'm thinking that would become my main digital camera.

Although I'm known on my social group as an Apple "Disliker" (not really hater no) I need to admit that, a)after killing the consumers camera almost single handled, and b) having an impressive camera and lens, iPhone has become a very realistic choice as a main digital camera. I've seen photos created by iPhone 6 and they are pretty good. They seemed kinda "flat" because they lacked bokeh, but after adding that to iPhone 7,well, I'm really expecting really good things from iPhone 7.

Regards.

I replaced my iPhone 5 battery and one in my wife's phone and it breathed new life into both phones. I got them from iFixit.com along with the basic tools. Their directions were spot on. I've also got some replacement/ upgrade part for he MacBook Pro from them that works well.

Back OT, I'm going to wait till they put the camera from the 7 into the body of the SE. I know the battery would last as long, but the size of the 6/7 feels too big, though the larger screen might be easier to read (older eyes).

Yep, I saw those as well. Might order one near the end of the month when I have some extra cash laying around.

Changed my mind, upgrading my iPhone 6 to a 7 but with lower space specs (32GB only). Of course my 6 works fine. I'm just thinking I want to try out the camera, and I don't want to keep "old" things (iPhone 6 is not old) like how I didn't sell off my iPhone 4 when I did, and now I still have it. :bang:

I was planning on using my 5 for a bit longer. But then I dropped it and the screen fell out - not all the way, but kind of opened like a clam a little. I pushed it back in and it seems to work again, but I think it's time is limited. I might go for the SE though if they still make it when my 5 finally breaks...

I received my iPhone 7 today and I have to admit that I am bit disappointed:

It looks exactly like an iPhone 6S!

The only differences that I notice are 1) the antenna bands on the back are not visible anymore; 2) the camera is bigger, 3) the home button has a different feel (you can't press it anymore; you just tap it and the iPhone vibrates to give you feedback).

You did not get the Jet Black? Not too late. 🙂

Sara - I highly recomment the 128 instead of 32
the 32 will be tight as you keep pictures and videos and varios applications and data

I got a 7 this morning, just walked into my local t-mobile store, in at 8:00, out at 8:02

haven't tried it out yet though, need to back up my current phone and the lines are jammed to the cloud

will try this evening from home

can't wait for the iPohne 8 🙂

I'll be selling the old one (6S ) on th 'bay with everyone else

Just received my Jet Black 7. Feels like the whole phone is Urushi finish. Fingerprint magnet of course but surprisingly grippy. Photos looking good but no surprises there. Looking forward to utilizing DNG capability.

Was quite tempted by the jet black 7+ because I'd like to go caseless and liked the idea of an unslippery iPhone for the first time in two years. But by the time I woke up and ordered they were backed up to November. So, a popular choice it seems. I'll receive the flat black in a few weeks and will put that "telephoto" lens to work.

I put iOs 10 on my 6+ last night.
Running a bit peppier. Not feeling any new phones for a few more years.
I think the 6+ kind of was a new plateau for the iPhone. It's going to take another one before I "upgrade".
Very interested in how the new RAW capability. Not sure I completely understand how to utilize the full potential yet.... We'll see how that goes. 🙂

Peppier? That sounds good, Andy!

Won't be getting a 7, I think, at least not for a while. I have a fairly new SE that I'm happy with, though I wish it were the size of my old 4s or even smaller. I like that it is essentially a 6 inside. The audio quality of the phone is excellent, and with my poor hearing that's important.

The amount of storage needed varies wildly with personal use patterns. I don't need much, but chose the 64Gb size to ensure adequate capacity for larger iOS and app versions. And I recall the problem (was it iOS 8?) where users with 8Gb phones had to delete stuff temporarily to allow the upgrade process to occur. As I recall the updater was updated not to cause that problem a bit later. Still, a warning for those who choose to go with the minimum storage!
