I recently bid on an M3 on oBoy and lost to a higher bid. Almost 4 weeks later now, I geta "second chance offer" since the winning bidder didn't blah blah blah. The "link" to the listing takes me to a legitimate looking page, including url, and states the listing expires on May, 3rd, 2006, and has a button for "Buy now" listing the maximum price I had bid when the original listing ran.
BUT when I go to the home page of oBoy, and enter a search for "Leica M3 SS Mint" (as in the title of the suspicious offer) the item is never 'found' by the search engine.
I have sent eBay the details (headers etc), but is it possible that when one makes a "second chance offer" the page it links to is ONLY seen by the few who had bid originally ?
Sorry for long post, BTW, the seller has a legitimate shop in Toronto, and an almost 100 % feedback on over a 1000 transactions.
