Please, stop it guys. I've had GAS for a black Barnack for quite a while now, notwithstanding my very nice chrome IIIc and IIIf. I really don't need another Barnack!

So a pleasant surprise my camera arrived thismorning, a Sunday delivery, l love it, black paint with brass where you would expect, boy oh boy. On the plus side, the view finder is clear and the rf patch is strong and contrasty, the obvious downside are that the shutter speeds need servicing, (to be expected), so off to somewhere like Ellis & Newton , does anyone else have any recommendations for shutter servicing in the UK

Hi,

l have seen a black leica listed but something does not seem quite right, how does the engraving look to people, could this be a fake, any help gratefully accepted

Question, when did the diopter magnifier level switch to the thinner tab? The picture looks like the thinner one which is suspect to the serial.

Also the front view finder plate is not in straight line like other barnacks, there is a rise starting at the serial number area. That is also very suspect.
