ISO 400 too slow for indoor

Got my XPan I last week. It has been raining nonstop, so I am stuck indoor. ISO 400 turns out too slow. Darn! And it seems I won't be able to go lower than ISO 400. I can't imagine what would be like with centering filter.

What color film do you usually use with your XPan?

Welcome to RFF, as for shooting indoors with an f4 lens, something like neopan 1600 or any film you can push to a similar speed should be ok. As for colour film, if it stops raining velvia 100 (my favourite) or if you prefer print film, reala 100 is a nice alrounder.Hope you enjoy the xpan.

Yes, it caqn be a challenge, but not impossible. Just keep practicing. My avatar is at f/4 indoors handheld. It makes a very nice 20" print.

try using delta 3200 then developing a few stops over, found it to work great those low light situations

Try Fuji Superia 1600 for high speed color. Or better still, get a tripod and shoot slower film. It's the best answer for an Xpan, especially in panoramic mode.

I've been shooting with the XpanII 30mm [F11 effectively] + Center Filter on ISO 50, in pitch black conditions that I lightpaint.

That's too slow. 400 is super quick in comparison. Get yourself a tripod 😀

provia 400 pushes nicely/interestingly up to 3200 🙂

with XPAN or TX f/4 lens and ISO 400, try to push 1 1/2 stops, it helps sometimes
