that i had a heart attack, just 3 days before my birthday.

i took this week off from work so i could quietly celebrate having lived another year.
today was a bit emotional for me at times.

i also painted my living room over the past few days. i hate painting and the job i did proves that pretty much.
but i did it, alone, and finished this morning, just about the same time they were hooking me up to a bunch of tubes last year.

i still get the odd email asking me how i'm doing and advising me to stay cool, eat right, listen to the doctors etc.
the support was appreciated when it happened last year and still is appreciated today. this world can be cold and hard at times but some of the people in it are warm and wonderful.

anyway, i just wanted to mark the occasion...

So we should celebrate your other birthday today! It's an important milestone and I am glad to have you around to remind me of it!
Good on ya, joe!

I remember when many of us were pretty concerned that you had just :: puff :: after that little (pill) spamming incident you had vented about.

Hear hear for many more years, Joe.

Now, eat your vegetables.

All the very best Joe. I'm sure you're focussing on living life to the full, as should we all. Enjoy every day with a glass of fine anti oxidant red wine.

You have much more to do, you have to stick around for many more.

You have folks to guide, friends to make laugh and people to share with.

Here's to a great year and many more filled with fun, friends and film!!!

...smile, relax and enjoy the moment. here is to many, many, many, many more moments for you. :D  :D

i hope you get a chance ( i believe, the french word for 'luck' - and for me it's usually pure dumb luck) to catch some light on some film in some camera today...enjoy!! :p

hasta la vista, au revoir, daskorava, fino al prossimo tempo, auf wiedersehen, and later y’all :p :p :p

Good to hear you're fine Joe! A year ago I wasn't here yet, but I relate! A few years back I had two open heart surgeries within two months. I've been fine ever since, but the occasion changed my life: I decided that life is worthy enjoying and I started vacationing and buying (vintage) cameras ;-)

I hope that incident wasn't caused by your selling the three Ps ;-)

Congratulations on passing a very important anniversary - the first of many I hope. Now put the paint away and get out with that new black ZI.

Take care.

I wasn't 'here' either when you had your heart problem (must have started reading RFF on October/November - joined a bit afterwards). But I could feel the reverberations of the incident in the smallish (yet) community. It was refreshing to see a mod with whom members had genuine interaction and for whom they actually cared. In that, things have not changed. But I am glad that your heart matters have changed for the better. I wish you the best of health and a good light.
