I hate to be one of the complainers about what looks to be a really cool new product...but that the heck is with the f2.8 prime? Could I have f2 or better please?
I wonder how bad the panasonic 20mm f1.7 will look on it?

in another thread I already touched on this, the olympus lens has a 37mm filter thread, the panasonic has a 52, so obviously its a deal bigger but that would not be a deal breaker for me since they are both pancakes. A fixed focal length lens like this at f2.8 is kind of insulting and reeks of laziness in the design department.

Well, 15mm wider filter size is considerably bigger.
Perhaps it's all about size.

yes it is but if you look at pictures of the lenses and their length then you will notice the lens is just wider, not longer, so yes, still the option for high speed it seems if you want to stay within the system

I'd just talked myself in to a cheap point and shoot to keep with at all times for family shots...now I've got to think this thing over. It'd be a whole lot more money, but also a whole lot more camera quality wise.

From what I saw over at 43rumor.com the prices of the lenses seem reasonable. This is the first wave, let's see what happens. Perhaps Pres K will honor us with a 8/5.6 for this wonderful camera.

A slow 10 would be fine.

I just hope it's a good quality lens, like the 45mm Nikkor pancake. For good quality I can live with 2.8 quite happily, especially as it's so tiny.

Would I give up my Hexar AF for this camera?
I am getting bored with the wait for the formal announcement. I may have to head to the golf course for a little distraction.

So, are we seeing any real photos of the camera? Or are all of these just PS wet dreams?

A quick email to Gordy and you'd be all set...
I'm finding this camera more interesting with the new pictures.
If the pictures are close to what the real camera is like and the performance is good, I could be pretty happy with it. Depending on the retail price.
