It's resolution time again! (well-almost!)

+1 for footwear. We have discussed, hats, boxer shorts, jackets with pockets, vests, bags, and carrying straps. Shoes are also important. I was in a mall last week and noticed all the old goats in ball caps and white sneakers. I looked at this old goat in a mirror and I was wearing a ballcap and white sneakers.

For Christmas I made sure I got a drivers cap and brown shoes.

I think I'll get some hiking boots for photography.
He he

But I'm more interested in what the your subjects wear (not what your wear yourselfs).

I will try to cull some of my gear. I can't possibly use everything I have, but I am a bit of a gearhead and like much what I have. I certainly will buy less! I just don't need much.

I want to use more LF as well as MF, but won't give up 35mm. I want to use pyro and Rodinal, then print more of what I take. I actually want to use my SLRs more too.

EDIT: Forgot to add that this year I want to concentrate on using prime lenses. Photography as I started out.

More seriously, not so much a resolution as a decision - Tri-X for black and white, Provia 400X for colour. One less thing about which to worry.

For me it's going out more and shooting more.
I want to aim for one roll in at least 2 weeks (against my university classes).

Oh yes and! To make my photo sketchbook :)

I don't make New Year Resolutions, as such. However, I really must get around to using my OM 20mm f2 bellows lens. It took me about 20 years to afford/locate one, then it went in a burglary a couple of years ago. So I refer to the replacement.

In the meantime, I recently acquired a Macro-Switar 12,5mm 1:1,3 H8 RX Lens for BOLEX cameras to use as a bellows lens....

I will most likely continue with the "No more cameras" resolution from two years ago...
That doesn't include lenses as I have picked up a few over the last two years...
But I have stuck to no new bodies...now if I were to find a Leica M2 for $5 at a garage sale I would buy it I'm not crazy...
Using the tripod more often would be a good thing too..
Starting a "New Project" probably wouldn't work but trying to improve my photography by getting closer to my subject would...

I resolve to buy NO photographic gear in 2010 -- only film.

No gear? Not likely :D

No cameras? Yes. Nothing digital in 2010 will be so revolutionary that I want it & can afford it. As far as analogue gear goes, I have a M2 & a Canonet, a Hassy 500 C/M kit and more analogue Nikons than one person could concievably need. And a lot of lenses as well. And a Yashica Mat 124 that is freshly CLA'd. You get the idea.

My other resolution is to make my first wet print in 2010.

Just a few days left, so let me add mine.

Before 2011, I shall organize, tag, and edit the 3600 images from 35mm scans I received months ago.

Sigh.

I intend to sell off 1/2 of the unused gear I have accumulated over the years; making a big move helps. There will be a fire sale in April (no, not on April Fool's Day). Only RF cameras stay, OK maybe one SLR system will stay...

No new gear in 2010, only more film.
