J8 50/2 m39, NOT coupled?

Do I assume correctly that the excellent Jupiter 8
in m39 screw mount version+M adapter... is NOT
coupled to a Leica or Bessa M's RF mechanism?

It should be. The rangefinder mechanism is basically the same for M39 and M-mount cameras, just the exterior of the mount is different.

it is coupled. I took a lot shots with it since I didn't buy my M6 with any M lens.
