Before putting a notice in the relevant Classifieds section,I was wondering if anyone might be looking to sell (or part trade for 120 film and/or some SLR bits)) a clean screw mount Jupiter 8--either chrome or black would be fine.
I'm in the UK,so bearing postage in mind UK or EU would probably make sense, but not exclusively.Feel free to let me know. Thanks,
Cheers,
Brian.

The lens Rob refers to is made by KMZ, which is one of the better plants of FSU lenses.

FYI, I bought one of these in minty condition via eBay for around $45. It's a great piece of inexpensive glass. You can't beat it for the price. However, do a search here on RFF to see some of the pitfalls with these so far as condition. Mine was from a seller in the US and worked fine right out of the box. The one I have is more less identical to the one for sale here. Great little lens.

A nice black J8 is soon to be with me.
I plan to use it on the first ever camera that I owned that had shutter speeds and lens aperture settings, and which in the mid '80's opened my eyes to picture taking ---The Fed 4 (b).
That solid, rocklike, and in my experience reliable, but somewhat disregarded 'ugly Betty' of the FSU rangefinder catalogue.
All the very best to everyone, for Christmas and for 2010!!
Cheers,
Brian.

I just received mine (black one). I'm not sure if I will use that or the 26M the most.

Hi Brian,
Do you have any Nikon SLR stuff? I've got a very nice J-8. Glass is clean and unscratched. The body has a few scuffs, but operates perfectly.

Oops... sorry Brian,
I didn't see the following posts! Congrats... the J-8's are a much undervalued lens in my opinion.
