Post-WW2 manufacture, as judged by the serial number (Theile gives April 1947). Lenses were routinely coated by CZJ at this time, although the sample pic does not display any of the characteristic colors usually seen in coated lenses, normally blue or purple, or occasionally amber.

I got a similar lens but it is a 50/2.8 LTM that originally was made as a M42 lens. Someone did a great job to machine the LTM mount. It is a very good performer. Your 50/3.5 lens is an older lens than mine.

I recalled having such a lens in Exakta mount. I will use it this week. Serial number is 3516xxx.

The original Contax RF mount Tessar 5cm/2.8 was considered to be rather soft [I found mine to be sharp but of low contrast], but the later 5cm/3.5 was much sharper.
