I have always been amazed at the simplicity of LTM Leicas. Since the first time I held one in a camera show, I knew that one day I'll have one.

This camera came to me from a seller who just wanted to get rid of it, I didn't pay much for it either. I knew that working or not, the camera is going for a CLA. So without delay, I throw the camera under the holiday package traffic bus :)

Mr. Youxin Ye received it a couple days later and he went working on it immediately. I got the camera back two days ago and these are some of the photos from the testroll:

Lens: Fed 50/3.5
Film: Kodak BW400CN

All Sunny-16 rule, no meter.

Now, anybody have a Summar for sale? :D
 
Sweet camera! Nice lens! Fits in your pocket! Takes good pictures (as yours show)! What's not to like?

Old Elmar 50s are nice too, and good ones can be found for under $200. Enjoy, and post more!
 
Great buy, Will. I am truly missing my first Leica, a IIIf that I mostly
used with CV 28/3.5 and minifinder. What a killer combo that was.

Steve: I find the FED to be more than qualified to stand in for the Elmar :)

sitemistic: I agree, but I want that vintage look that the Summar specializes on :p

Roland ,just got that combination, the IIIf RD/ST w/ cv 28 f3.5 and love it to pieces now, i can put B&W in the IIIf and slide film in my M 6TTL and not have to switch lens. just a great combo, small ,light, and it just slides into a pocket like butter off a hot knife. Dennis

I have it too, but I have the larger finder. I haven't been able to give the combo a work out yet.
 
Will, I've got newer cameras, but the IIIf still gives the most user satisfaction and great prints as well.
