I should probably do the same to my jupiter 12, but I doubt I will be able to see the difference on a 35mm at f2.8

Stick the FSU lenses on FSU bodies and get leica, or vc, or zeiss, you know it's right ;-)

Problem is that now the rangefinder does not work anymore properly at infinity, when it says it is focused at infinity, it is actually focusing at 15ft, and when the focus is at infinity the rangefinder says I am focusing beyond.

Aaargh what do I have to do!

If you want to pad the cam with tape to get it right at close-up, then you have to reset the infinity focus on the lens as well. either by repositioning the scale or by resetting the helix, depending whether true infinity focus is acheived.

Essentially now I can focus spot on at 1.15m but when focusing at 12m (and the image at 12m is spot on) the rangefinder indicates focus at infinity, while if I focus at infinity (and get the image at infinity in focus) the rangefinder indicated focus past infinity.

I think I can somehow compensate for this, much easier than being 3 inches off at 1.15m, however it would be nice to have the lens calibrated correctly somehow.

So essentially it looks like Russian LTM lenses are not compatible with western ltm cameras.
Use Jupiters with Zorkis and leicas with leicas.
