I had seen this thread before but never looked. Some really nice photos here. Thanks for sharing everyone. I need to get my Kiev repaired and get out with my J-9 lens. I haven't used it much.
rff member jesse1dog loaned me the use of his Jupiter-9 so I thought i'd post a few images here, the first set were taken with my Leica IIIa and the second set (portraits) my Leica M3
It is a really impressive lens, robust and for portraits it is absolutely great, i'm not really a portrait person generally though and these images above are really my first attempts at taking close ups of people, generally I use a 50mm for daily shooting so an 85mm takes a bit of getting used to
I used a VIOOH for the IIIa and for the M3 I used the built in framelines but because I had the wrong type of adaptor (for the m3) only 50mm lines showed up so I had to remember to move the 90mm switch on the front manually which I sometimes forgot to do!
Johan, this is interesting - I just received your lens two days ago and only now do I see this thread for the first time.
I wish, I would have known earlier about these great lenses! I am still trying to figure out this new lens and have it every day with me, using it, whenever I can:
